Help & FAQ
Everything you need to get LinkBounty working in your community.
Getting started
1. Click "Add bot to a server" and pick a server you manage. 2. Log in here with Discord. 3. Open the server from your dashboard and enter your Amazon Associates tag (it looks like yourname-20). That's it — the bot is live.
How do my viewers use it?
They just paste any Amazon product link into a channel. The bot replies with the same product carrying your affiliate tag, plus a short disclosure. You also get a notification.
Can I limit it to certain channels?
Yes. On the server's page, use "Channels the bot uses" to pick specific channels, or leave them all selected to respond everywhere. Search and "Select all" make large servers easy.
Can I change what the bot says?
Yes — edit the "Bot reply message." Use {user} to mention whoever shared the link. A short affiliate disclosure is always added automatically to keep you compliant.
The bot isn't replying — what do I check?
Open the server's page and look at the "Setup & health" panel at the top. It tells you if your tag is set, which channels the bot uses, and — most commonly — whether the bot actually has permission to post in those channels. If it lists blocked channels, give the bot View Channel and Send Messages there in Discord's settings.
What do the analytics show?
They show link activity: how many links were shared, the top products, and your top supporters. Because Amazon pays you directly, your actual clicks and earnings live in your Amazon Associates reports.
Does this work outside the US?
Amazon Associates tags are per-marketplace, so a US tag only earns on amazon.com. The bot keeps each link on its original Amazon domain, but you'll only earn where your tag is valid.
How do I delete my data?
On any server's page, use "Disconnect & delete data" in the Danger Zone. It removes the bot and permanently erases that server's settings and analytics.
